The ability of human beings to share goals and coordinate intentions has helped us create cultures and civilizations. This ability is far from perfect, however, and many problems arise when we are ineffective in sharing our intentions.

Social media innovations, together with rapidly improving data sharing methodologies, are enabling individuals and groups to instantly disseminate, or ‘broadcast’, messages across many diverse networks. This phenomenon, combined with the growing use of social media services for sharing and coordinating intentions, led us to develop the concept of “intention broadcasting”.

In addition to continuing the development of Zipiko, Zipipop is also concepting and building the demo website for Pienet Löytöretket (Small Discoveries) , in collaboration with Design Museum in Helsinki and ConnectedDay.

Pienet Löytöretket is a series of educational workshops about Finnish design objects (from Design Museum collection) aimed for 3 to 6 year-old children in kindergartens. The website will be used to distribute the necessary pedagogical guidelines and materials to kindergarten teachers and educators, show results, and promote discussions. Internet enabled mobile phones and the ConnectedDay website will be used by the museum to give feedback on children's works.

This project is also supported by AVEK's Digidemo programme.

Before Helene gives us the all new Zipiko presentation tomorrow at LeWeb'08, here is a chance to see the previous one we gave at Mobile 2.0 in San Francisco . Helene and Tuomas have done a great job giving the new presentation a personal edge with some nice Finnish-ing touches — so don't miss it.

Moved to the centre and did a technical rehearsal at the Grand Hyatt. The practice presentation at the end is not the real one.

Here is our first vlog entry about our trip to Frisco to present at  Mobile 2.0 on 3 November. We are currently all in our hotel room busy polishing the presentation and fine-tuning a significant new release of Zipiko.
